I would really like to thank Helen Reeley a member of the WIBN in Berkhamsted (www.reeleylandscapes.co.uk) for a wonderful morning. She is a garden landscaper and offers Acanthus Academy a bespoke training session in your own garden. I treated myself but I know they also make great presents.
I love gardening but do not have the in-depth knowledge and skills to ensure my garden looks great all year round. Over the years I have lost many plants and rather than seek advice I have just gone out and bought new ones or ones that happen to take my fancy. Helen came over to my house and over a cup of coffee discussed my garden aspirations. We then went out into the garden where we discussed all the plants in my garden, she showed me how they could be trimmed or pruned, gently advised me if they should be in another area altogether and very tactfully hinted that some areas (namely the bits I would love to hide) should really not be there at all. In addition she has given me a written report so that I know what to do in the future. I wish I had done this years ago because I would now have a really beautiful garden and saved a small fortune.
She was extremely knowledgeable and affable and I came away feeling totally inspired. Thank you Helen!
