Laura Raynor - Berkhamsted Group

Laura provides therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage and Indian Head Massage to her clients, but specialises in deep tissue massage, particularly for those people with sports injuries, reoccurring aches and pains, backache and anyone using computers on a regular basis.

Laura joined the Berkhamsted group a year ago, when she was just starting out in her business and found the idea of promoting herself terrifying!  She had no real focus for her business and was drifting, getting waylaid by day to day problems and with no clear strategy for developing her business.  However, a year of WIBN has helped her change all that.  “I have met people with a wide range of businesses, but we all have lots in common. 

Monthly meetings have made me focus on my goals and also to look at my achievements.  The training sessions have been thought provoking and made me aware of some of my weaknesses and also my strengths.  Without realising it, I have become much more business focussed, yet it hasn't changed the way I operate", she says.  She is more aware of what goes on in the business world around her and how she can promote myself and others more effectively and is constantly looking for ways to promote other WIBN members, not because she feels she has to, but because she enjoys doing so. 

Much of her business has come from and through WIBN members – something she hadn't relied on or expected.  In addition she has made some very good and supportive friendships through WIBN, “I think this encapsulates WIBN for me – friendly, relaxed yet focussed and supportive."
