At The Women in Business Network we aim to give our members support as well as results!

A quarter of the UK's
3.2 million self-employed
workers are now women.

How to become a member

Membership is open to both women in business and business owners. Employed women may be in roles where they are decision makers and tasked with generating more business and gaining new clients. These may include Bankers, Solicitor's, Dentists, Accountants and a wide variety of other professions.

Request to visit a group near you to hear how we can help grow your business and then decide for yourself if our organisation is right for you and your business.

If you decide to join us, you will have professional exclusivity within your group and therefore lock out your competitors.

Being part of WIBN will enable you to promote your business, its products and services to like minded women who will 'spread the word' about you and your business to their customers, clients, friends and family members. The power of 'Word of Mouth' business has been proven to be the most effective. Once you join a group you also become part of the network and have access to other group meetings around the area (providing that there is no conflict of profession in the group you wish to visit as a visting member).

Membership is by application only and is usually made after visiting a group meeting. Some of our members have decided however, to secure their professoinal slot in a group and lock out the local competition, before they attended a meeting! This can be done by emailing or calling the person who is operating the group meetings. You will be sent an application form to request membership. Each prospective member is screened by references as part of the process to join a group.

If the group you are applying to join already has the same professional catagory represented, we will refer you to join another group which is convenient to you and your business. With many groups now launching there will be other groups to direct you to that will enable you to stay in the locality if this is important to your business.

On some occasions there are certain sectors that will nearly always take the professoinal slots as soon as possible when they become free and these are usually Solicitors, Life & Business Coaches, Accountants and a few other professions.

These women are fully aware of how business networking is a low cost way to promote their business and build a good bank of contacts quickly. If the group of your choice has a member in your profession already represented we are able to keep your details on a waiting list in case the member in question should have a change of circumstances and they decide not to renew their membership.

At the beginning of the meeting you will be given a visitors pack with relevant information about WIBN and this pack will include an application form. You can apply at the close of the meeting to make your application known. Sometimes there may be a situation where there is another visitor present in the same catagory as you at the same meeting. It is on a first come first served basis to apply for membership.

If you have any questions you can call us on 0845 004 9426 to talk through the meeting and joining process.
