What to expect at a WIBN meeting:

• The lunch will start with networking at midday with registration and by 12.30pm everyone present will be take to their seat for the formal part of the meeting. This is a working lunch so food and refreshments are served whilst the meeting is in progess.
  
• Each meeting is chaired to an agenda with strict timings and the meeting will start off with everybody passing business cards around the table to break the ice!!  It also ensures that all the attendees leave with your business details and printed literature.
  
• This will be followed by a 5 minutes presentation networking skills topic and will be delivered by a representative of WIBN. 
  
• Each member and visitor will then be invited to stand and talk about their business for 1 minute.
  
• After this we will have 2 x 5 minutes presentations delivered by 2 members of the group about their businesses. This is to educate the group in more depth their business and give the group a taster of the type of business they are looking for and how they operate.
  
• We then come on to the important 'Lets Talk Business' section where lots of business is passed between members and visitors alike.  This is an un-pressurised part of the meeting but often generates lots of regular business for the attendees. This part of the meeting gives the members an opportunity to share with the group any 1-2-1 meetings they have had with another member since the last meeting, or to give a testimonial about another member, or to pass any business contacts or to set up a 1-2-1 with a fellow member or visitor present at the meeting.  Most importantly this part of the meeting is to pass any business they may want to refer.

As a visitor this may be new to you and a bit daunting but it is a very friendly and relaxed part of the meeting and an opportunity to pass details and contacts amongst each other.  As a visitor you may just want to observe and gather your thoughts, but most visitors are always impressed by this part of the meeting and want to participate.  Just let us know what your thoughts were about the meeting if you have no business or contacts to pass at this point.

After the meeting closes formally at 2.00pm there will be an opportunity for members and visitors to continue informal networking, unless of course you have a important meeting to attend and have to rush off. We hope not as we would love to have a chat with you and see what you thought about the meeting......
