We are confident that WIBN can help you grow your business by word of mouth referred business and useful contacts. We would love you to visit a group in your area and see for yourself what we are all about and see whether we are right for you and your business before we ask you to decide to join.

Please bring plenty of business cards with you as you will meet lots of like-minded business women who will want to take your details and 'spread the word' about you and your business.

Visiting a Group Meeting

Once you have found your local group meeting you willl need to check that your profession is not already represented in the group by a member of WIBN.  Once you have checked the members list for the group you wish to visit and your professional sector is stilll availble to be represented then please click here to request a visit.

You will find the email address and the telephone number of the person who runs the group from the list of Regional Support Directors and WIBN Associates.  Please contact them to visit their meeting. 

Please email them your request so that they are aware that you would like to attend and can place you on the visitors list. This means they can welcome you at the meeting. They can also advise and confirm with you that there is no professional clash with a member at that group. If this is the case, you will be advised of other groups you may visit instead.

Once you have confirmation of visiting a group you will need to send a cheque to the Regional Support Director for £22 which is the meeting fee (includes a lovely lunch and refreshments).  It also guarantee's your place at that meeting.  We have a first come first served basis with visitors to busy groups, so pre-payment of the meeting fee is crucial to secure your place at the meeting.

What to expect at a meeting

Our meetings start promptly at 12.30 so please arrive from 12 noon which will give you  time to register, be introduced to members and be welcomed by the group committee. All our members are warm and welcoming.

Our meetings follow an agenda so the meeting format will be formal without being stuffy but will be friendly and supportive.

You will be invited to pass your business cards and any literature you may have brought with you around the table so that all attendees present will receive your details. You will also be asked to present your buisness to the group by giving a one minute talk about your business. It is worth giving this a few minutes thought before the meeting and making bullets points of what you want to say so that you do not miss this opportunity by not being prepared.

We have a training topic delivered by the Regional Support Director for the group and later in the meeting have the Monthly Spotlight which allows two members to present their business for a further 5 minutes each.  This is an opportunity to educate the members more about their business offering.

We then get to the most important part of the meeting 'Lets talk Business'.  This is where business is exchanged between members and visitors alike.  Although visitors do leave their first meeting with business, please do not expect this to happen.

The meeting concludes at 2pm and we invite you to stay and carry on networking but understand if you need to rush off and go to another appointment. 

You will be followed up a few days after the meeting by a members of the WIBN team to see what you thought about your visit to the group and be invited to join us as a member.
