At some point, someone in your organisation will be affected by cancer. This half day workshop has been designed for business owners, managers and HR professionals to provide insight, advice and tools for supporting employees impacted by cancer.
Through a mix of facilitation and group discussion by the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:
- Gain insight into the challenges and impact of cancer at work
- Understand legal requirements and Employers responsibilities in line with the Equality Act (2010)
- Communicate and manage difficult messages and sensitive conversations
- Take away practical tips, tools and techniques for managing cancer in the workplace

The workshop will be facilitated jointly by Deborah James, James HR Consultancy, and Maggie Newton, Red Clematis Coaching Services. Deborah and Maggie, have both fought their own personal battles with cancer and understand the impact this has on life and work. Their insights and experiences have enabled them to create a service that supports both employers and individuals to manage cancer in the workplace.
