Nature and forest therapy guided walk
Awaken the senses, feel calm, rejuvenated and restored with a new forest therapy experience at Walkern Hall Estate.
This wood is not usually accessible to the public so it’s a lovely place to come and try forest bathing which is a must in your self care package.
Sept 8th is International Forest Bathing Day and I wanted to do something to celebrate this day. Many colleagues all over the globe will be guiding walks for their guests. From Canada, US, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Singapore, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Australia and of course the UK.
Also known as forest bathing or shinrin yoku, forest therapy, is globally recognised for its proven benefits to both physical and mental wellbeing. It’s not a long hike but a slow and mindful walk through nature. You are gently guided through a series of invitations where you are free to explore your surroundings with all your senses, with time for mindful awareness and reflection, as well as opportunities to share your thoughts and experiences.
Your guide will be Sam Wright, one of only a few people in the UK who has trained with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. The experience lasts for three hours but no physical exertion is required. All you need is an open heart to embrace the benefits of this powerful therapeutic practice.

It would be lovely to guide some of you in this beautiful practice.
