Healthier cocktails for the weekend

It’s the weekend – so which alcoholic beverages are the best for us??  Experts would say none or a very small amount of red wine but let’s be realistic! It’s summer (sort of) it’s the weekend, we work hard, some of us have small children and we REALLY need that drink! But how to make it sort of healthier?

Here’s my tips!

Prosecco and Pomegranate – pour a little Pomegranate juice into the bottom of your glass and top up with Prosecco, this makes a lovely refreshing summer cocktail yet gives you some antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E.

Pomegranate has anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties and studies show it has slowed down growth in prostate cancer so share with the man in your life!!!

Pretend you’re on holiday with a Pina Colada but make it healthier by using; coconut water, fresh pineapple, crushed ice and good quality rum – blend all together and enjoy!
