Having a diverse environment in the gut which is full of helpful or ‘good’ bacteria is protective against many imbalances. This applies to our hormones as well. If our gut bacteria consists of too much ‘bad’ bacteria, inflammation occurs. When inflammation is present our hypothalamus and pituitary gland do not work as efficiently, this has a knock on effect to our adrenals and ovaries.
