Be Bold for Change – join us in supporting International Women’s Day
As part of International Women’s Day (8 March), we are holding a special twitter hour which focuses on this year’s theme, #BeBoldForChange.
We’d love you to join us and share how you plan to help create a more inclusive, gender equal world. Whether you simply pledge to challenge stereotypes, are actively involved in campaigning for women’s rights or are embracing inclusive working practices in your business, we’d like to hear about it. You may even be running your own event in support of the campaign, so please let us know what you are up to. There is lots of information on the International Women’s Day website including ideas about how you can be bold for change. Examples include: mentoring a female colleague; challenging organisers of all-male speaking panel events; launching female-focused initiatives; educating boys about stereotypes and violence against women; nominating women for senior jobs; donating your time to a female-focused charity; forming a support network etc. So, please join our twitter hour on 8 March between 8-9pm to support this fantastic campaign. Remember to use #WIBNHOUR and #BeBoldForChange in your tweets. You can even download and print a #BeBoldForChange selfie card via the IWD website if you want to! We are really looking forward to hearing how our members are making a difference – see you there!
