Biography

I am a chartered physiotherapist and an acupuncture practitioner. I trained at Wolverhampton University as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1993 and worked in the NHS for many years until I moved into private practice. I have extensive experience and training in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries.

I have used acupuncture as an adjunct to physiotherapy since 1994 and have done many post graduate courses leading to a Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture in 2004 from Coventry University.

I am passionate in the wellness of women and feel there is a shortage in the services available to us. I offer women natural treatment options with expert advice, physiotherapy and exercise throughout all the different stages of her life.

I provide acupuncture treatment for menstrual difficulties and when trying for a baby. During pregnancy I combine the use of acupuncture and physiotherapy treatment to alleviate aches and pains and other pregnancy related symptoms.

Post-natally, after the 6-8 week check, I provide the ‘new mum MOT’. This includes an hour long assessment to establish recovery of the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, a functional assessment and expert advice on the safe return to exercise to get you back in shape.

Other conditions I treat include post operative care following gynaecological surgery, symptoms of incontinence, prolapse and chronic pelvic pain

I also treat following breast surgery to encourage full pain free joint movement, offer lymphedema advice and scar massage.
