Biography

Charities are under increasing pressure to provide effective services for their beneficiaries. The vast majority of charities in the UK are small and medium sized and struggle to survive whilst providing vital, front line services. Taking a great idea and turning it into an ongoing service can be challenging. Many charities have limited capacity, expertise, time or resources to work strategically. I work with small, medium and large (up to £5m) charities supporting them to deliver great results.

My experience as 22 years as a charity chief executive, taking a charity from £200k turnover to £1.7m, means I understand the challenges and what is needed to overcome them. I have a Master's degree in Work and Organisational Psychology (graduated December 2015) which means I have up to date theoretical knowledge as well. I work with charities to improve their performance by:
Increasing their effectiveness and performance;
Diagnosing and solving problems, and;
Creating added value.

Whether the charity needs help with strategy, structure, management or operations I will work with you with enthusiasm to produce great results. I am happy to work with charities with implementation as well providing tailored consultancy advice.
