I am a co-founder of Russian Revels: we create soul food inspired by the ‘New East’. From Estonia to Russia, Ukraine and Georgia, a huge and vibrant area, still little known and we are on a mission to change that. We specialise in using organic, small scale, British suppliers: stubbornly natural and seasonal.

From intimate family dinners to weddings and gallery openings, we also take care of whole events, including staff, equipment hire, decorations – we even have our own poet in residence! We have been commissioned by the likes of the Royal Academy of Arts and Victoria and Albert museum.

My background is in psychology and anthropology. I am also a freelance writer (I was a Time Out restaurant reviewer and written for the Guardian, FT, Delicious etc). Born in Estonia to Russian/Ukrainian parents, I came to London in 1998 as an asylum seeker. Food became an important way to both connect to my roots and to this country.

As we always say – food never feeds the belly alone.
