Biography

Nikki Robinson owns and manages Holisticare Ltd where she specialises in Physiotherapy and Myofascial Release. She has been a qualified Physiotherapist since 1993 having trained at the Queen Elizabeth School of Physiotherapy in Birmingham and in 2006 established her own successful business on the Hertfordshire/Essex border.
In June 2012, Holisticare opened their dedicated, purpose-built treatment centre set in acres of nearby farmland, just outside the beautiful village of Hatfield Broad Oak.There are now 4 specialist Myofascial Release therapists working at Holisticare.
‘Myo’ is the Latin word for muscle and ‘fascia’ means band; our bodies are made up of a continuous network of tissue which hold us together. Any trauma to this connective tissue can cause a tightening reaction which affects other parts of the body, often resulting in pain. This is most common after injury, stress, repetitive motion or poor posture.
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective form of therapy whereby Nikki applies gentle, yet continuous pressure to relieve pain and discomfort in her clients through a series of stretch and release movements. She has treated people of all ages including new born babies and the elderly, all with differing conditions who all wish for a pain-free life.
Conditions that may be helped include back and neck pain, joint pain and stiffness, sport injuries, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, arthritis, headaches and stress related issues. Myofascial Release is also beneficial for new mothers and babies.
This highly-effective form of therapy is slow, gentle and very relaxing. Not only do Holisticare successfully reduce pain in their clients, they help them to manage their own conditions, reducing the likelihood of medical interventions in the future.
