Rachel Markham

With a background in marketing and PR, first in the retail industry before moving into the voluntary sector, I am passionate about using my skills to ‘make a difference’ and I have helped to raise the profile and support generated for two national charities, prior to my current role at Charity Link, a charity I have been involved with for three years.
I love working with individuals and businesses who are interested in supporting a local charity but also enjoy the benefits that this can generate, whether that be employee or customer goodwill, brand awareness, fulfilling CSR aims or fulfilling personal challenges.
Charity Link is a fantastic charity, working to ensure that everyone living in the counties in which we operate (Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire) have a decent standard of living, no matter what crisis, illness, disability or difficulty they are experiencing. Charity Link makes a difference, with the support of the local community, by providing essential items, including food, beds, cookers, clothing and mobility items. These help to improve quality of life for people of all ages and backgrounds, including the victims of domestic violence, those with a chronic illness and people who have faced bereavement, family breakdowns or redundancy. A third of the people we help are children and young people.
