Fall in Love With fundraising. I first got into volunteer fundraising a few years ago to “give something Back” and over time I helped to raise funds for a variety of different charities. I organised golf days, Afternoon Teas, coffee mornings, auctions, raffles, ran a marathon and even wrote a book in my quest to raise an amount of money that would make me feel really proud and have a sense of accomplishment that I would remember forever. Volunteering gave me an opportunity to learn new skills and now I am a community Fundraiser at Keech Hospice Care, my local adult and children’s hospice. Keech Hospice Care is the adult hospice for patients of Luton and south Bedfordshire and the Children’s hospice for Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Milton Keynes. I love fundraising, bringing communities together, organising events, raising money, and most importantly seeing the results, seeing that you are making the difference to people when it matters the most in your local area.
Keech Hospice Cares mission is to lead the way in providing excellent care, supporting children and adults with life-limiting conditions and those affected by death and dying, helping them to live well and make every day count.
As a charity, we rely on our local community and supporters for around 70% of our funding for our care services and my role is to help you help us to make this happen.
I would love to hear from you if you are driven to help others and are keen to get involved to help make a difference. I look forward to sharing more about Keech Hospice Care with you, what we are looking for in terms of how you can help and learning more about you and your business too. .
