Understanding Diabetes

Every day, 700 people in the UK are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. That is one every 2 minutes. 3.5 million people have diabetes, an incredible estimated 600,000 walk around with it unwittingly. It is thought that 1 in 3 adults in this country is diabetic. That is insane! Diabetes is an incurable and progressive disease with serious consequences, ranging from numbness in the extremities, to blindness, amputations, kidney disease, and heart disease.

The underlying reasons for type 2 diabetes are varied. Diet is the cornerstone and has to be the foundation of any kind of interventions with diabetes. But sleep, stress, gut health, vitamin D levels and environmental toxins also play a role.

On Wednesday, 21 March 208 at 7:00 pm I will give a talk on diabetes in Leigh-on-Sea . What it is, how it develops, how it is treated and what patients can do themselves to manage the disease better. This talk would be of interest to anyone who has diabetes, has been told that they are pre-diabetic, has a family history of diabetes, is caring for or living with someone with diabetes or would just like to learn some more about the most prevalent chronic illness in this country.

Tickets are fully redeemable until 21 June 2018 against any consultation with me. Please pre-book to avoid disappointment as places are limited!
