Do you have Adobe Flash installed on your computer? Or do you use Microsoft Office? Make sure that you apply Adobe’s emergency security update to protect yourself from a vulnerability which uses Adobe Flash from within Microsoft Office to gain access to your computer.
This applies to Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
The fix is quite simple and can be done as follows: –
1. Check if you have Adobe Flash installed. Go to https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/flash-player.html and click on the <Check Now>.
2. If you have Adobe Flash installed, download the update from the Adobe Flash Player page – https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ – and follow the instructions to install. It should take no more than 5 minutes to install.
You should also ensure that Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11 are up-to-date if they are installed on your computer.
Finally, ensure that you have applied the latest operating system updates manually if they are not installed automatically.
