As you know (or not), I completed the Edinburgh Moonwalk in 2014 and the London Moonwalk in 2015 and was delighted to personally raise over £1,700 and £1,500 respectively.
So after such a rewarding experience, the Chalfont New Yorkies have decided to sign up for the New York Marathon as part of Walk the Walk.

Now I can’t quite believe that I am walking up to 20 miles per week again!
So, on Sunday 6th November 2016, I will be walking 26.2 miles in memory of two of my very dear friends. Debbie Bond was a wonderful friend and ex-work colleague who I had the pleasure of working with for 3 years at Parkside. Alex Gilmore was an amazing friend who passed away in September 2011 at the tragically young age of 35. He lived in New York and ran marathons himself. He will inspire me to push myself as I walk all those miles.
The New York Marathon is one of the world’s biggest and greatest marathons. It includes 5 boroughs – Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Manhattan and finishes in Central Park. Each year Walk the Walk takes a team to take part in the marathon along with the 50,000 others who are either running or Power Walking.
I am part of a team called the Chalfont New Yorkies and we will be raising money for Walk the Walk which is a breast cancer charity. Therefore I would be most grateful if you can support me/us by making a donation, big or small, in support of this very worthy cause.
Thank you for your support, much appreciated.
I’ll be posting regular updates on my fundraising page
